Editing your profile and products

Anyone with a seat can edit your company's details and each product's listing. Owners and members can edit the same things. Some product fields need the Managed plan, and each one says so in the portal.

Open Profile from your company's tabs. You can edit:

• Description, up to 2,000 characters.
• Website.
• Headquarters.
• Founded year, between 1800 and 2100.
• Parent company.
• Contact email.
• Phone number.
• Ownership: Public, Private or Not specified.
• Links: LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
• Logo. See "Logos" below.

Every web address must start with http:// or https://. Clearing a field removes it from your listing.

Your company name and the address of your listing are not edited here. To change either, use the send us a correction request link on the page.

Save changes becomes available once you change something and every field is valid. Only the fields you changed are saved. When it works, the page says "Profile updated."

If a colleague saves the same profile while you are editing, the page says it "changed somewhere else while you were editing". Your unsaved changes stay in the form until you choose Reload this section. Reloading shows the latest version and discards your unsaved changes.

Your company and each product can have a logo. Choose Add logo or Edit logo, then either paste the image's web address or upload a file.

• An uploaded file must be a PNG, JPEG or static WebP image.
• It can be up to 2 MiB, and up to 2048 pixels on each side.
• SVG and animated files are not accepted.
• A pasted address must start with https://. We do not check the image it points at, so make sure it meets the same rules.

A logo saves on its own when you choose Save logo, separately from the rest of the form. Remove logo takes it off your listing. Logos are public.

Once you save a logo, our catalog updates no longer change it.

Open Products, then a product. Product names are not edited in the portal, because renaming a product would break its links. To change one, use the file a correction request link on the product's Profile tab.

Products are added by AEC Integrations. The portal has no way to add one. To have a product listed, contact us.

On a Free product, the two Managed fields stay visible. Each reads "Part of Managed for this product. The current value stays published." Saving works as on your company profile.

The integrations page and API documentation links show on the product's public page, under Resources, whenever the product has them. That holds on every plan. Managed is what lets you change them.

Each has its own tab. Tick the terms that describe the product. Each tab explains how to choose, and allows up to 10 terms.

• Categories are editable on every plan.
• Trades, Audiences and Phases need Managed. On a Free product you can read the terms on record, and they stay published.

On Managed, the Audiences and Phases tabs also let you say how each team uses the product. Under each term you tick, add up to 8 short points of up to 200 characters each. You can reorder and remove points.

Points publish to your product page as soon as you save, with no review. One Save changes saves the terms and the points together.

If you untick a term that has points, the points stay until you remove them, and the page asks you to tick the term again or remove them. Removing them asks you to confirm first.

Once you save these points, our catalog updates no longer change them.

Your listing shows a saved change straight away. Search results pick it up within a day.

Some company details are not shown on your public pages:

• Contact email and phone number are for AEC Integrations to reach your company.
• Parent company and ownership are kept on record but are not shown on your public pages yet.

A field AEC Integrations corrected and locked shows "Set by AEC Integrations" with the reason. You cannot change it while it is locked. To dispute it, email support@aecintegrations.com and quote the reason. If you try to save a change to a field that was locked while you were editing, nothing is saved and the page asks you to reload. Owning an integration explains how a lock works.

If something is wrong in a field you cannot edit, request a correction and we fix it.
